Kiev Islamic University |

The Kiev Islamic University
was founded on April 11, !993. It is officially registered in the Bureau
of the Religious affairs and has certified Number 341. Thus, the first
Islamic University was opened in Ukraine, aiming to spread the righteous
conception about pure orthogonal Islam.
Due to the intensive work of
the University it has got students from different region of the country
and the former Soviet Union willing to get pure Islamic knowledge. KIU helping
the people to go deep into the knowledge of Religion and the Islamic culture,
it also helps to unite our Muslim society and strengthens brotherhood among
Muslims. Some of Ukrainian Muslims (old people and students that are continuing
their studies in our university) and some of non Ukrainian people such as
bengalines who came to work or to study in Ukraine are assisting us spreading
the concepts of Islam
Kiev Islamic University cooperates with
the well known in the Muslim world Al Azhar University Owing the regular
visits of reciters of the Holy Quran from the Al Azhar University, our
students have the opportunity.
In 2001 the Kiev Islamic University of
the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims had got an equation
of its intermediate and secondary stages certificates to those of the
"Al-Azhar University" certificates /order # 60 on 11.06.2001/.
The Islamic University takes active part
in bringing up young generations, patronizing school "Irshad", which was
established in 1996. In this school young generation learns secular sciences
according to the curriculum of The Ministry of Education and Science of
Ukraine. In addition the pupils study the basis of Islam, Arabic, the
reciting of the Holy Quran and What every Muslim has to know.
The main material are the message of Imam
Akbar Abou Hanifah and the Fukh Al-Akbar, Saying of prophet, history of
prophets, Islamic culture, and Kur'an, in addition to proofs that leads
to convince non Muslim in order to accept Islam.
Periods and the educational stages in KIU
1. Secondary - three years
2. College - four years
3. Higher - specialized four years
Graduating from the last educational stage student
gets bachelor diploma in accordance with his specialty.
